New Fresh Batch Blended on Winter Solstice

45g of organically grown herbal tea presented in an eco friendly compostable pouch, making it a zero waste product.  Hand blended with love, infused with light frequencies and intention.

A heart opening organic rosey tea brimming with antioxidants and vitamins to support skin health and vitality.  Delicious sipped as a warm and comforting beverage any time of the day or enjoy as a refreshing iced tea!

Our skin is very much a reflection of our internal state of being.  We reveal our emotional state, our energy and the health of our digestive and elimination systems through our complexion.

Keeping hydrated with nutrient dense organic herbal teas has a multitude of benefits including:

Reduce stress with intentional self care - Carving out time to mindfully sip your tea will support your nervous system and reduce 'fight and flight' hormones.

Antioxidants - Consuming antioxidants in our diet by way of organic herbal teas may help to reduce oxitadive stress, protect skin cells from damage, slow the ageing process and may improve skin texture and appearance.  I've chosen herbs with particularly high antioxidants for this special tea blend.

Detox - Drinking herbal tea regularly flushes out the system, cleansing the body of toxins.  Some herbs such as rose and hibiscus are particularly supportive of liver detoxifcation.

Hydration - A hydrated system is reflected with a hydrated and plump complexion.  Our bodies are made up of 70% water, when we are dehydrated on the inside our skin on the outside often shows this with dullness, loss of volume and lack of vitality.  Reach for an organic herbal tea instead of sugary juices and sodas to keep your bodies hydrated without the ageing effects of sugar.

This vibrant and full bodied organic tea features the following herbal allies

Rose

Rose is a revered and sacred heart opening herb and has a long and ancient use as a woman's herb to ease menstrual pain.  Rose is a good source of vitamins C and E which are essential vitamins for skin health.  Rose is cooling on all systems within the body as well as nourishing for the nervous and digestive systems.  Rose is also supportive for liver detoxification and helps the body eliminate toxins via this pathway.  Rose also contains polyphenols which help with inflammation in the body.  Energetically rose is good for nurturing the sacral and heart centres, increasing compassion and forgiveness and supporting self acceptance.

Spearmint

Gaining momentum for its potential to heal adult acne Spearmint is also high in antioxidants as well as being anti inflammatory and antibacterial.  Sweeter and milder in flavour than peppermint, spearmint also enhances the flavour of most other herbs and is cooling on the digestive system.

Lemon Myrtle

Lemon Myrtle is a native Australian rainforest shrub which grows in South East Qld.  Its vibrant and unique zesty flavour make it an ally in the gourmet kitchen and a flavoursome herb to sip.  It's known for its high antioxidant content and antimicrobial actions.  Keep the bugs in your belly at bay and enjoy the lovely lemony notes that compliment this blend.

Cardamom

The health of our skin is directly linked to the health of our gut.  Cardamom is a digestive tonic and calmative and as such is nourishing for the gut.  Cardamom is also  supportive for the cardivascular system, supporting healthy bloody flow to our skin and and organs and assisting with reducing blood pressure.  Energetically cardamom supports vitality and our inner passion to be expressed.

Hibiscus

Hibiscus is a very good source of vitamin C which supports the body to naturally produce collagen, an essential building block of healthy, glowing skin.  Hibiscus also is a good source of antioxidants (including an antioxidant called myricetin that can help reduce collagen breakdown) supporting skin radiance and general wellbeing.  Hibiscus gives this tea a full bodied fruity richness and vibrant red colour and been found to have one of the highest levels of antioxidants out of all herbal teas.  Studies even suggest hibiscus can help to lower blood sugar, help weight loss and improve cholesterol levels

Strawberry Gum

A highly fragrant variety of eucalyptus reminiscent of berries, Strawberry Gum is more than a yummy flavour.  It's also an excellent source of antioxidants and has anti fungal and antibiotic properties, supporting general wellbeing and protecting the microflora of the gut.

How to use:

Add one heaped tablespoon into your chosen tea brewing vessel and top with freshly boiled (but not boiling) purified water.  Allow to steep for 5-10 minutes (the longer the tastier!) to access the therapeutic benefits of the herbs.  These herbs can be used for a second, milder infusion on the same day, simply top up with freshly boiled water and brew for 15 minutes.  When finished discard your herbs into your compost bin.

Iced Brew:

Try making a delicious iced tea.  Add three tablespoons to to your chosen brewing vessel and top with freshly boiled (but not boiling) purified water.  Brew for 30 minutes, then drain and transfer into jug or vessel suitable for the fridge.  Leave to chill for an hour.  Then finely slice up an orange, lemon or lime (or all three!) and add to the tea along with a tablespoon of maple syrup or honey (or to taste) add a handful of torn up fresh mint leaves.  Enjoy over ice.
